Natural sand

Natural sand is a central component in bell casting and must contain 20-22% clay in order to be processed as a bell shape. So that the sand molds can be decorated, the sand is mixed with approx. 5% water. Based on his many years of experience, the master caster can tell by the grip of the sand whether enough water has been added. Every sand delivery is different and must be handled differently.
